A few weeks ago, the good folks at Idée brought you the Visual Search Lab with a little iPod Shuffle contest. In the Visual Search Lab you can use Idée’s Visual Search technology to search for visually similar images in a 3 million image collection. The image collection used for this lab is Alamy‘s image collection.
We had some fantastic submissions which made our winner selection a bit difficult so we increased the number of winners. So if your name appears below you will be contacted and you will soon receive your winning iPod Shuffle. Congratulations!
1. Rannie’s Mapletastic Visual Search
2. Ana’s Rubber Ducky Visual Search
3. Maria’s Pose Visual Search
4. Sreeja’s Surf’s Up Visual Search
5. Anne’s Aurora Borealis Visual Search
We were only going to have 5 winners in total but we liked the following submissions so much that we are making them winners as well!
6. Jim’s Letter Visual Search
7. Thuan’s Greenery Visual Search
8. Laurie’s Underwater Search
These last submissions rocked the Ideeplex! We laughed so hard we almost cried; this is not a good visual search example but it certainly is cool. I mean Margaret Atwood and skeletons and monsters on the same page? That’s a search result you are never going to see anywhere else.
9. Amanda’s Margaret Atwood Search
10. Jonas’ Six degrees of Kevin Bacon Visual Search
We also had one winner: Adam for the submission of the greatest number of bugs. 3!
