- TinEye: Not so much of alloy
TinEye got his first poem and he is enjoying the attention. I hope it does not all go to his head!
- German EverywhereGirl?
By now you are all (too) familiar with the EverywhereGirl… but the Praegnanz.de blog in Germany seems to have found the German Everywhere Girl. All these stock photography business images are becoming all too familiar!
and TinEye‘s detective work finds her traveling beyond Germany! Stand out from the crowds and use TinEye next time you are considering that stock photography license! Happy searching.
- Passion at work
From Mavericks at work
“.. in business, as in basket ball, the smart take from the strong – that the best way to outperform the competition is to outthink the competition.. ” and it’s the “..mavericks do the work that matters most – the work of originality, creativity, and experimentation..” totally driven by passion!
Which makes me really excited about the sold out Refesh event on Monday: where passion meets ignite presentations!
We will start the evening with a passion presentation by Peter Flaschner followed by 6 Ignite presentations and since I am the last one that evening (and it is Monday too!), I will make my TinEye Ignite presentation extra tasty!
StayFresh: 7 PM – 10 PM, Centre for Social Innovation @ 215 Spadina Avenue, Suite 120 (Map)
Ignite Speakers:
- Erin Bury, RedWire
- Rachel Azagury, CreatingABuzz

- Sleuthing 101
Props to Nathan Chadwick for his sleuthing skills and TinEye use:
“My co-workers and I are always obsessed with new ways of finding information,” Chadwick tells ScientificAmerican.com. [TinEye] “is merely one of those great tools that is revolutionizing the way we think about retrieving data.”
Chadwick explains in American Scientific how he got to the bottom of a serpentine mystery!
- The Parked Domain Girl!
I find it interesting to look at the sites that are generating traffic for TinEye and as I was doing that a few weeks ago I noticed that Reddit had done it again. Looking at the referrers this URL jumped out and I think the world has found its parked domain girl! This girl – which is a royalty free stock photography image – appears on so many parked domains!
What’s really interesting is that non only is this photograph used on a large number of parked domain names but it is also a placeholder in oodles of online ads! Have a look:
And
But she also hands out credit repair advice. She is very versatile it seems!
The parked domain girl does not rival the Everywhere Girl but she gets around.
