We are happy to announce that the TinEye translation project is now officially underway!

We are asking our multilingual TinEye fans to help us translate TinEye into various languages, section by section.

What does this mean and how will it work? Good questions.

Our first goal is to translate our FAQ page into several different languages. If you are fluent in another language and would like to volunteer with this translation, here is what you can do:

Click any of the links below to open one of our translation forms. Each form contains questions from a particular section of our FAQ page.
Translate as much or as little as you wish on each form!
If you would like your translation credited to you, please don’t forget to provide a name and link where indicated.

As we receive submissions, we will select the most appropriate translations and use them to update TinEye.

We are accepting translations into all languages, but we will be translating the TinEye FAQ page into French to begin with.

…Oh and this is probably obvious, but please don’t provide any Google translations. We can do that ourselves, and it wouldn’t be pretty ;)

Hello! I tried tranlating into Nepali but the option was not there. Any way you could add Nepali into the languages thing? The script is the same as that for hindi, so that ought not to be a problem.

Is it possible to save translated text somewhere during the process of translation? I translated 5 pages of the Main FAQ of 6, then my browser crashed and I lost everything :(

@AlexChudd: oh mate sorry about that. The forms we are using don’t allow for saving of translation while you are completing it. Damn. We could have used your translations! Sorry!

@Runil Wazlib: If the language you would like to translate to does not appear on the list, please select ‘Other’ from the list and then just type the name of the language in the new field that pops up. Thanks for your help!

Trying to translate into Russian. On TinEye FAQ Translation Form #1 (Main FAQs) “Can TinEye find similar images?” (page 5) I stumbled over this:
“There was a problem with your submission.
Unable to edit entry 139.”
Please help, for I strongly want to do the whole translation.

TinEye Translation Project is good…….but in some language translation it doesn’t work correctly like it is not able to translate Nepali language……….

Hey Guys! I translated the thing into Nepali, and it looks pretty good. I encountered a problem, though… In page 5, there was error in entry 149… I ignored it and did the rest… :)
