@Ser_tomas: You can rename the extension from *.crx to *.zip, and then extract it to view the code. Blog post has been updated with this information as well.

What you will lose if you make the plug-in open source? It is not to make a plug-in difficult to send son tineye’s textbox the images address..

Please make it at least open source, so we can trust you more…

Hey guys,
I really appreciate that you have a clear statement as to why your extension needs to “have access” to this information. As data protection becomes more and more important and data abuse is growing, it is great to see that at least some people seem to care about it and to acknowledge their responsibility when processing such data.

In the end, of course, one can only believe what you say but not prove it (as it would be possible with open source *hint hint* ;) ) but this is going into the right direction :)
